Beachwood Chamber and Hawthorne Valley Country Club announce new benefit for Chamber Members
Through your membership with the Beachwood Chamber of Commerce, you now have the exclusive right as a designee member to use Hawthorne Valley Country Club. As a designee member, you will be able to play golf (up to six foursomes per season), the current rate is $60 per eighteen or $30 per nine (which is less than many of the public courses in the region), and use the dining facilities at the Club up to 12 times in a year.

Beachwood expands tech arm:Chamber takes on extra space in response to growth of current companies in hopes of luring more
The Chamber's Business Development Center expanded to 24 offices from 18 when Beachwood Chamber of Commerce president Doug Bennett signed a lease for extra space on the ninth floor of Commerce Park Square Building 3. The expansion gives the center 11,300 square feet in the building, nearly 60% more than the previous 7,100 square feet.

Beachwood Chamber of Commerce and NOACC sited in New York Times Article on Healthcare for Small Businesses
The rising cost of healthcare for entreprenuers and small business owners has been a hot topic. The Beachwood Chamber recognized this need over 12 years and founded The Northern Ohio Area Chambers of Commerce to help Chamber members receive discounted health insurance through Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield. The New York Times used this plan as an example in their article Health Care at a Premium in the November 30, 2006 edition.
Beachwood Economic Development Program Gets Results
BEACHWOOD While city and Chamber of Commerce officials travel the world to attract businesses, a company from neighboring Indiana announced last week it will bring two division headquarters here.
Two subsidiaries of Indianapolis-based Cohesant Technologies Inc. will move to Beachwood by year's end. They will bring with them 42 jobs and a payroll of $2.5-$3 million,

Publicly traded Cohesant Technologies Inc. is leasing 15,000 square feet in a building that was the former headquarters of now-defunct biotech firm Gliatech Inc. Plans call for the company to relocate two subsidiary businesses to the site at 23420 Commerce Park Road.

The work Beachwood is doing to co-locate international business has been featured in the Israeli media during the Prime Minister's Conference on International Business held in Tel Aviv November 8 and 9, 2006. Tom Sudow, Executive Director, was interviewed on Israeli TV and Radio. Major articles appeared in the Jerusalem Post and Globes (Israel's "Wall Street Joutnal").

The Beachwood Chamber of Commerce new employee handbook was sited in article in the Sunday, October 15, 2006 New York Times "Career Couch" . The new employee handbook was prepared by Adrienne Fernadez of the Chamber Staff and Seth Briskin of the law firm Meyers Roman.

Cooper, Ph.D., president of the Product Development Institute and professor of marketing at McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario, will conduct a seminar on succeeding in new product development. (The event will take place at a location to be announced.) Cooper is the creator of the Stage-Gate process, which provides a conceptual and operational roadmap for moving a product from idea to launch.
Beachwood center aims to sway biz
The 15-month-old center, occupying 7,000 square feet atop the Three Commerce Park Square office building on Chagrin Boulevard is an innovative effort to attract new businesses to the eastern suburb. Beachwood Mayor Merle Gorden says the center is a key element in that effort, because the city doesn't offer tax abatement and doesn't raid neighboring towns.
Agreement of Cooperation between FICC and the Beachwood Chamber of Commerce
In the presence of representatives from the State of Ohio and Beachwood City Counsel, President of the FICC Uriel Lynn and Executive Director of the Beachwood Chamber of Commerce Tom Sudow signed an Agreement of Cooperation between the two organizations, yesterday (March 01, 2005) in Tel Aviv. Also representatives of the Foreign Ministry and the Ministry of Trade and Industry were present at the ceremony.
