Business Development Center
Launched in June 2004 in a unique collaboration between the Beachwood Chamber of Commerce, the City of Beachwood and Cleveland State University Nance College of Business Administration, The Beachwood Business Development Center (BBDC) is a business accelerator for those companies looking to develop a U.S. presence and for local start-ups. In 2006, clients of the Business Development raised over $20,000,000 in investment capital and had sales of over $7,000,000.
Housed within its 11,500 -square-foot space in the heart of Beachwood's business corridor, the BBDC is home to over 20 domestic and international firms from a variety of industries.
The BBDC takes on the burden of administrative and business development details that allow emerging companies the opportunity to focus on developing their business. Resident companies access sales contacts within certain industries; get assistance with establishment of advisory or boards of directors; explore public or private / debt or equity financing options; and receive 20 hours of market research and interns through Cleveland State University.
