CEO
Vince Adamus
As CEO of the Beachwood Chamber of Commerce and Beachwood Economic Development Group, Vince oversees the activities of the 600-member Chamber and the Beachwood Business Development Center, which provides business accelerator space and services for entrepreneurial and international companies. Vince and the Chamber staff also function as the economic development arm for Beachwood.
In prior work Vince facilitated property and business development as the Commissioner of Economic Development for the City of Brook Park. Earlier, he served as the Manager, Public Works Infrastructure for the Build Up Greater Cleveland (BUGC) program, a public-private economic development effort of the Greater Cleveland Growth Association. Vince built his economic development skills at the Cleveland Industrial Retention Initiative, where he provided business expansion and retention assistance on Cleveland's near-east side and managed corridor planning and redevelopment activities on E. 55th St.
He has served on the Highland Heights Economic Development Committee, the Boards of the Ohio Economic Development Association and the Brook Park Chamber of Commerce, and was chair of the Cleveland Neighborhood Development Corporation's Industrial Committee. He continues to serve on the Board of Growth Capital Corp., the business lending affiliate of the Greater Cleveland Partnership, is a member of the Ohio Economic Development Association's Legislative Committee and is certified as an Economic Development Finance Professional by the National Development Council.
Vince has a Master of Public Administration and a background in city management. He believes that good development takes into consideration the interests of all parties concerned, and improves the long-term viability of a community.
Executive Director-BCC
Wayne Lawrence
As Executive Director of the Beachwood Chamber of Commerce, Wayne serves as the primary liaison for the business community and the Chamber and directs a staff that oversees the planning and implementation of Chamber programs and activities to meet the needs of its 600-member companies.
Prior to working with the Chamber, Wayne served as the owner and operator of a local franchised business that designed, manufactured and installed closet organizing systems for builders, remodelers and retail consumers. Prior to that, he was the General Manager of an industrial products supply company where he directed the overall operations and sales team. Wayne has had vast experience in sales and marketing with startup businesses, mid sized companies and Fortune 100 corporations, such as Procter & Gamble, where he served as a Customer Team Leader.
Wayne served on the Board of Shoes & Clothes for Kids and was chair of the Product and Services Committee.. He has also served on the Board for the Home Builders Association of Greater Cleveland where he became vice-chair of the Remodelers Council. Before becoming the Executive Director, Wayne served as an Officer of the Board of Directors for the Beachwood Chamber of Commerce.
Wayne has a Bachelor of Science in Finance and a strong background in business and networking. He believes that building one's business is based on building one's knowledge, experiences and relationships and that the Chamber can serve as a catalyst for this.
